What began as a small personal collection has grown into a lush indoor jungle—and a licensed boutique nursery in sunny Palm Bay, Florida.
Hi! I'm Shannon, the grower and caretaker behind Life and Lair. As a collector myself, I understand how exciting (and sometimes intimidating!) it can be to add a rare plant to your collection. My goal is to make the experience joyful and stress-free: you’ll receive healthy, well-rooted plants, grown with patience, care, and a collector’s eye—packaged securely and shipped on time, every time.

🌴 5 Random Things About Me
1️⃣ I’m based in sunny Palm Bay, Florida, just six miles from the beach—where I live with my husband, 3 dogs, and an ever-growing jungle of tropical houseplants.
2️⃣ I’m a (part-time) Army wife. My husband has served in the Army National Guard for 20+ years, and he sometimes builds handy plant tools for me.
3️⃣ My plant journey started as a hobby and quickly spiraled into obsession. My first plant was an Alocasia Polly—still my favorite plant today.
4️⃣ My background is in creative writing, interior merchandising, and web design. I have a degree in English from Rollins College.
5️⃣ I’ve been running small creative businesses for over 20 years, and I’m thrilled to now dedicate that experience to helping fellow plant collectors grow their dream collections.
